Isador H. Coriat
10 December 1875 – 26 May 1943
One of the first American psychoanalysts, and a founding member of the [Boston Psychoanalytic Society](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston_Psychoanalytic_Society). Also a key figure in the [Emmanuel Movement](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmanuel_Movement), an early-20th-century religious movement that emphasized the use of individual and group therapy to treat addiction and alcoholism.
