1696 – 1751

he was born in Monterrey, capital city of the former Kingdom of New León, New Spain (nowadays, Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico); passed to the Jesuit Seminar of Tepotzotlán, where he was ordered as Priest in 1718. Moved to Guatemala, he was appointed as Rector of the Royal College of San Borja, then passed to Merida de Yucatán as Rector of the Jesuit Seminar, where he died. He wrote many works and publiched some of them, like: "Moral Sermon of the Encenias" (Guatemala, 1739), a funeral eulogy to Fray Antonio Guadalupe López Portillo, bishop of Camayagua (Guatemala, 1743), and a funeral eulogy of King Phillip V of Spain (Guatemala, 1748).
