Trevor Griffiths
1927 or 8 – 2010
Trevor Griffiths (1927-2010) is a name synonymous with beautiful old roses. Fascinated by plants and flowers from a very young age, a career in horticulture was inevitable for Trevor, and a draft towards cultivation of the world's most popular flower inescapable. Trevor Griffiths fell in love with the rose when he was eight years old and his mother took him to a local florist shop. That love bloomed and he spent more than 50 years creating the world's third largest collection of old roses at his nursery near Temuka. -https://www.festivalofroses.co.nz/timarus-rose-gardens.html
