Thompson, Joseph Parrish

Dr Joseph Parrish Thompson, D.D., LL.D. was a protestant minister in New York, Boston, and later Germany. He became the Commissioner of the American Union Commission, using his pulpit to decry the Fugitive Slave Act on theological grounds.
