John Perry Miller

1911 – 9 February 1997

Economist. Longtime faculty member and former dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Professor Miller, an adviser to President Harry S. Truman and the Elizabeth S. and A. Varick Stout Professor Emeritus of Economics, specialized in the fields of industrial organization and public policy, as well as the history of economic thought. He served at the University for 40 years as teacher, scholar and administrator.
